Title: LTO, Microswitches, bill of sale - makes the DMV seem like a cakewalk.
Post by: slowpoke13 on July 21, 2008, 10:47:06 PM
GRRRRR

Freakin LTO...  [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]

So, I gotta go back this week. I was missing the "bill of sale." Duc Yoko is overnighting me one. Hoping to head back to LTO on Thursday.

Realize, I need a new microswitch for the front brake lever as well. Was hoping to gundeck LTO into getting through that. But, will prolly be SoL. So, where to find a microswitch? Where's Radioshack?

No microswitch? Kind of a big deal. I'd never think I could gundeck that. However it'd be an easy get for your local duc dealer surely.

LTO - yep, they're a bit of a stickler for paperwork. I know all about it.  :(

well, the brakelight works from the pedal. Wondering if I could "make it work" to pass. No?

Well, you never know. I found the thing you're often worried about is totally ignored and they'll pick up on something you never thought of. In my case it was the brakes. They said they couldn't 'classify' them. My brakes are stock so I could never make any sense of it.

In the end they agreed to classify them as Harley Davidson brakes. (?) Whatever. I was happy enough to get it passed.

No, I shipped it from Australia which is where I am from. It would have been smarter to buy here but when I purchased it two years ago I didn't yet have the idea about living in Japan.

On the plus side I got almost all the modding done in Australia where I had the luxury of a double garage. Here I'm in an apartment and can only work on the bike in the street. But it's pretty much done now. I just want to ride. [moto]

i got a driveway. but, alas, no garage.

I'm trying to line up spending New Years down in Australia. They said I was welcome and I might even have a room.

New Years is a good time weatherwise. And people are on their summer break so everyone's looking to have fun. What part you going to?
