Not quite the same but I bought a '71 T-bird when I was a kid... 429 thunderjet as opposed to the SCJ. Still it was a hell of a runner and would pull that boat along well. Sold the car I still have the engine. Eventually I'd like to build it for my '65 F-100. That truck is gonna need chassis/suspension work though, and since it still shares daily duty with the Monster my plans are on hold til I can retire it. Love the old car talk.

I'm not sure it's in my garage in CO, I just moved back to NM this week. I gotta get a new place with a garage to get it down here... why do you ask? Are you aware of some gem or nugget I'm in the dark about? All I know is it pulled like a freight train. I had that boat over 150mph once. I then had to change my shorts immediately afterward when I hit a hump and got airborn.  The car had rear end gears in the 2's though. It was over 10yrs ago I forget the exact ratio.
