Slick lookin guards, billg.  They do look a little skimp, give us an update after a few 20 or less degree rides  :)
We're liberated by the hearts that imprison us.  We're taken hostage by the ones that we break.

Hideous Hippo hands work. My Bro-in-law bought me a small set for X-mas a couple of years ago and they worked great. Except for at somewhere north of 100 mph they began to actuate the clutch and brake levers on they're own. Mine didn't have the aluminum rib/frame inside.

Well not that I've been hoping for another cold front to come through... being in South Georgia we are back to 70 degree weather. I will be putting some more miles on them with my 6 hour trip to Florida next week (apologizes to my ST3s, I want to ride the S2R... if this keeps up I may have to sell her for a SFs, but I'm trying to repress that thought for now)... where was I, Oh yes... If I get into any cold weather, I'm sure to post a follow up.

Looks-wise, getting more use to how they appear. I would say that if you stripped off the wind screen and ditched the stock blinkers, they would not be so obvious. Sort of looks too busy with everything there.

Still no word on the LED's. Motostrano still hasn't gotten them in yet or they are celebrating the new year early.

One tidbit unrelated to the hand guards but related to the reason, cold weather, I had my mom add two pieces of black jean material to the hind area of my first gear tech pants. In stock form, you spend more energy trying to keep from sliding off or injuring the frank n beans. Jean pieces added just enough friction to grip the seat.
