Why is it everytime someone does something other than red or dark everyone says  [puke].... makes me want to do pink leopard spots on mine just to cause angst. It's cool and I'd rock the shit out of it cause, yes my balls are that big, I am that secure,

Wow, really.  [roll]

interesting paint job but it belongs on an chopper not a monster IMO
yep I think a dent i teh tank looks better on a monster ,well the old ones.. not the new ones, new ones could be painted daytona beach style

This M800 belongs to my friend Kathy Jo one of the owners of Bend Euro Moto.  I think selling it to her pushed over the edge to become a Ducati dealer  ;D

Big Troubled Bear

Just a bit of perspective from an airbrush artist, one of my projects being used as an example in this thread.

Yes we like critism it makes us grow and become better people, but it is not always easy to please the client and we very seldom get carte blanche to do as we please.
This girl did what she had to in 4 days and executed her idea onto something we all hold dear very well, that still does not mean that I have to like it and also that I have to keep quiet about it.

Could I have done the same in 4 days ? I would think I can, but knowing the time involved in the proper paint and airbrushing tecniques I doubt that this were the case, anyone with a mind would have used 696 panels and given it to their painters at least 2 weeks in advance. ( at any one time I have 3 - 4 projects going with at least one of them involving heavy airbrush work and others just normal paint jobs ) So to have something dumped on me 4 days before delivery, with no payment forthcoming, just the knowledge that the whole world will see it, will not be to everyone`s taste.

Forums are there for conversation and from that you will get opinions that are not always to your liking, but that`s life.

I ride a 696 and honestly have no idea as to what to do to the damn thing paint wise. so feel welcome to air your ideas and I will paint the thing any which way you want.
You could even get the mods to form a poll and I will do as the majority votes and then post it up so that the art can get pulled apart by the masses ;D

The bike the OP showed is at Hattar in San Rafael.  You need to see it in person.  It is VERY cool - that red on the CF and the paint  - it is amazing.   [thumbsup]
My hovercraft is full of eels.

As a painter I love the logo script and think it's well done.

The rest of the job is crap, color don't flow, design is random, etc.........

Yep.  [thumbsup]  I like that paint too.  I'm not a huge fan of the 696 but I think that paint job looks better than some of the other offerings I've seen.  It doesn't matter much though. To each his own. All of those paints require lots of work and talent. Whether or not you appreciate the aesthetics someone worked hard to do something different and that counts for a lot.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Anyone have more pics of the OP bike besides the link? I think I likey but need to see more.
