Poodle Conspiracy?

Let me start off by saying that I'm not an avid follower of the do show circuit. I do occasionally check them out on TV to see a couple of the breeds that I like, such as the bulldog, boston terrier, french bulldog, and scottish deerhound.

One thing that I have noticed in my novice viewing is sort of disturbing. The poodle always wins.
Why does this happen?
Are they easier to breed?
Are the AKC judges biased towards poodles?
Do poodles secretly sabotage the other dogs like the Resistance fighting the Vichy regime?

This scenario has once again played out at Westminster and I am finally willing to step up and put this question to the world.

What's the deal? Does anyone know?
Should I seek protection from the canine equivalent to the Priory of Sion?

God, I hope that movement by my window wasn't on of those poofty pregnant doges  :(

its funny you bring this up, I AGREE i hate poodles  they have a higher bite innocent people statistic than pitbuls.
I remember not too many years back it was the Maltesae always winning.

I like all dogs...but I'm not a huge poodle fan either.

My lab/pit mix (Gabby) got bit on the head by an older, but still fairly young, full-size poodle when she was in beginner puppy classes. The poddle was in the class to try and get better trained...even though he was much older than the other dogs. Gabby has a gray hair at the puncture site to commemorate the incident to this day.

I think she still remembers. When we go to the dog park she's super friendly with all dogs...except full size poodles!  [laugh] She always seems to get into it a bit with them. Luckily there aren't too many there usually, or we can keep her distracted with a ball.  ;D

Every poodle, from teacup to standard, I've come in contact with was really really grumpy ~

If you were a dog and looked like a poodle, you would be grumpy too.

It's not even that I hate poodles ( I do, but that's not the point) It's that there are so many breeds in the non-sporting group and the damn poofy dog is always the winner, on in the top 3. When was the last time an American Eskimo Dog won?

Maybe poodles actually ARE spawns of Satan and they control the AKC judges with mind bullets.  Big poofy ones.

I've only been around one standard and it wasn't so much mean as it was improperly trained and obnoxious, but my parents have had a Toy for years and she's one of the sweetest (and neediest) dogs I've ever met.  I know different breeds are genetically predisposed to certain character traits, but a lot of their personality I think has to do with their upbringing as well.

While they are smart, a Poodle would NOT be my first, second..even last choice for a pet!!  :P  D*mn foo-foo dog!!

LOL..a standard Poodle went after one of the French Bulldogs I was watching over the holidays.  Apparently, it thought it was the alpha male at the dogpark that day.  Well, 35lbs of mouth, muscle and testosterone..in the form of a mini Heinekin keg..wasn't haven't any of that.   [laugh]  I thought the lil' guy was going to get pinned but he went straight at the Poodle's throat and brought that b*tch down!!   [evil]  The Poodle owner was actually thankful since a small dog finally stood up to her Poodle.

The Frenchie did the same thing to a German Shepard a few days later.    :-X  [laugh]  The old hag owner was not thrilled either.  Serves the dog right since it's attacked my little female Frenchie in the past.   ;D
