If a plug is going to fail, it won't be dependent on age of the plug, it'll be due to inconsistencies within the plug.  having said that, with normal plugs, more than 10% failure rate would be very unusual, so having more than one failure is unlikely.  Even $20 is cheaper than any other Ducati part i can think of...  Having said that, I suspect it is an ignition issue, maybe via a wiring issue.  I doubt the plugs have failed, but that's still a cheaper diagnostic than most.  I however would start by going through the ignition wiring.  Mostly if the display isn't failing at the same time.

might check the belt tensioners to.  Pretty easy to look in there and make sure no balts are being eaten.

Has the bike had it's first maintenance yet?
Catching a yellow-jacket in your shirt at seventy miles per hour can double your vocabulary.

Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Yeah she had the first one a few miles late around 700miles or so but didnt figure that was a big deal...  Tho after I got it back from them I looked it over and they forgot to put the spring loaded clips back on my hoses leading up to the gas tank and wasnt too happy about that.  everything else tho seemed fine.
