m900 parts manual?
«
on:

I checked the Ducati site and I can't find a parts manual for the old m900. Can anyone point me to one? If not, what would be the closest comparison to the new(er) monsters? Maybe the 695?

The 2000 catalog will be as close as you'll get from ducati.com.
Might try duc.nu

In 2000 they were FI, though, right?

correct.
The FI bikes also had tranny and primary gear differences.
you might find a dealer that is no longer using fiche for parts lookup and buy the micro-fiche.
Did you check duc.nu?

Yup, they don't have parts manuals for any of the monsters. Odd....

2000 M750 has all the same carb'd parts as older M900s. Only difference will be the 3 phase vs 1 phase charging system. Use the 900ie for anything you can and the 750 for the carby and electrical stuff.

Be careful with the 750 to 900 carburetor cross overs as there are differences.
the bodies have different pressed in air jets, needle jets are a different size as are mains and some times pilots.
Slides I think are the same as most o-rings and seals.
Also with the different charging systems come different crankshafts and the gears that run off of them (timing gears).
If you look around you can find manuals for older supersports for cheap $$$ on the net. the motors were
mostly
the same. the SS never had small valve heads. this will mean different valves and cylinder heads as well.
good luck
