696 maintenance question?

Hello all!

I'm new here as you can tell..... I am going to be purchasing a M696 in a little over a month after I complete my MSF courses. My question to all is, how much does (dealer) maintenance cost on the 696? From what I've heard, it can get rather pricey? I just want to get a ball park estimate of how much the 600m, 1200m, 6000m, 1200m maintenance's run on the 696.

Also, I pretty well mechanically inclined and I would love to do the maintenance myself like oil changes for example. Would there be a risk in voiding the warranty by doing self maintenance?

Anywho, I'm really excited about getting the beast soon and look forward to gathering as much info and getting to meet all on here. Thanks in advance for any info.

On the 696 the intervals should be 600, 7500, 15000, 22500, 30000 etc

my 600 mile was $140....

try searching the topic though, there should be quite a few discussions about it....

600 mile service is about $120-150. I personally like my oil changed every 2500, and you won't void your warranty doing that. 7500 service seems to range anywhere from 450 - 750 depending on which dealer. See this thread
