Good luck man! (and Stella) That's a long ride for a good cause...

Thanks!

Yes it is a long ways to ride.  But much easier than going through chemo I've been told.

Stella is doing another century with TNT later this year at Moab, and I'll be doing another century here in Colorado for the American Diabetes Association in August.

We'll be rolling with Coors Light cans (empty of course) on our helmets as a way to represent being from the Rocky Mountain region, so  [beer] is appropriate.  [thumbsup]

ZLTFUL

Only because yer from there will I allow you to represent the competition (not really as we still hold nearly double of the market share with our products that Miller/Coors does with theirs ;) ).

Have a great time guys, ride safe and yes Randy, the hikes next time out will be much better. But if I remember correctly, YOU wanted to head back while I wanted to continue up to the gorge.  [cheeky]

What a wonderful 100-mile bike ride!!

Both Stella and I completed the course in a little over 6 hours.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day here yesterday.  Started overcast, but buy the time we got to the top of the climb at Emerald Bay, the clouds were parting and the sun was beginning to shine upon the beauty that is Lake Tahoe (it had been rainy and overcast since we arrived on Friday afternoon).

The scenery was just incredible all the way around the lake.  [thumbsup]

Every thing that TNT did for us here at the event made it really special, whether that was the pre-ride rally the night before, the SAG support, to the notes left on our doors thanking us.  Saw many complete strangers cheering us on along the route.  Getting encouragement from other TNT riders.  Just a great day all around.

One of the coolest moments was stopping 4 miles short of the finish, having a few beers while we waited for the rest of our Rocky Mountain Team, and then rode the last little way to the finish together as a team.

And the best part is that as you ride around the incredibly beautiful lake with it's pristine water and scenic views, it all kind of hits you.  You didn't spend all that time training for yourself.  You didn't raise all those funds for yourself.  You did it for others.  Others that are suffering.  Others that will now have a chance at survival.  Others that may not need to go through the agony that others did.

It's great to be part of something that is way bigger than one's self.  [thumbsup]

We'll have some pictures up after we get home later today and get settled in.
