Yep! Its been a bit of a pain, but once I figured that MOST parts for one M900 fit on the others, you are pretty good to go. Its just knowing the subtle differences. (Like the change in the alternator from 98 to 99) or that some options came in packages, or as lucky bonuses, etc (alu swingarm, adjustable forks, the floating rear caliper, the whole S-model package, the chromo, the city).
The one thing I do know for the 96 M900 owner, is that I flippin' hate my mikuni carbs, and want to change over to the Sudco FCR's but just don't have the cash on hand right now. I'd like it if the TB's wouldn't go out of sync. grrrrr.
As far as parts, here's a pretty good shortlist of places to check:
www.motowheels.com www.monsterparts.com www.pjsparts.com www.motostrano.com www.ca-cycleworks.com www.desmoworks.com Ducati Seattle - (I usually call) Advanced Motorsports (The shop in Alvarado has all the parts, the Dallas shop is more of a showroom and basic maintenance shop - oil, valves, belts kinda work, when Ducati closed down the big N.A. parts warehouse, AMS bought stuff by the truckload so they didn't have to wait on stuff from Italy - handy to know when you happen to need some small, random internal part)
I also like Salt Lake City Motorsports &The guys at Pat Clark Motorsports in LV don't mess around.
