man.. for $1000 for a 6k service, you can DEFINITELY buy all the tools you would need to do it on your own...
incredible.

When all the land lays in ruin... And burnination has forsaken the countryside... Only one guy will remain... My money's on...

I just paid $730, including belts for my 03 620 at Corse Superbikes, it's a lot of money, but I enjoy the bike tremendously, so I thnk it's worth it. [bacon]

$380.00 for an S2R 800 including parts/labor performed by a former Ducati Technician who is an independent mechanic now.  Oddly enough, they have the same hourly rate as the shop...it just takes them less than half the time to do the work.  The local shop quoted me $850.00.

I took my '07 S2R 1K in to the dealer for the 7500 and was quoted $800. After I was done laughing, I said I only wanted the valve check/adjustment and was quoted $500!!! Fortunately (unfortunately) my valve guides needed replacing so the cost was cut even more!
Then I got their email for a spring service special, which was the oil and chain service and inspection for $99 out the door. i think they hate me now and thats why i haven't had my bike for a month  :'(
Everytime I'm on two wheels, the streets part, heavens open, and hearts pound

The heart pounding is true, at least...
