99% sure it is.

Should be the same engine as the S2R 1000 I believe. The 1000DS.

I was thinking in 06 it was open loop...maybe I was wrong. I guess it dont matter much, if I get one I will get the Termi kit anyway. I just love the Zard look

Look on the parts diagram and see if there is an O2 sensor.

I was thinking open loop for some reason.

2006 Sport 1000 has an O2 sensor. On the stock exhaust, it's tucked back in the crossover pipe, just before they come under the swingarm.

Yes, you still get the "lurch" if you try to hold it at 4000 rpm. With the stock ECU, keeping your chain tension within specs helps this immensely. As does taking your bike to ducvet. He's, well, magic.

If you go the Zard route, you'll still have to do something about the O2 sensor. Just letting it dangle makes it run even hotter.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I would go the Termi rout. I dont think it looks as good as the Zard, but it sounds better (IMO) and is almost 1/2 price.

And a DP ECU or ECU reflash to DP spec will eliminate that little devil and get you on the road to tuning the engine correctly.

But that has a 2.2 to 3.0l engine so I'm confused on the 1000cc question

With an O2 sensor it's only the first 1k cc (1 l) which are affected by the closed loop, so the question is valid [roll]
