S4 Engine shuts off while idling after barely starting -Ideas?

Yeah I would clean them and try them. If you decide to replace them make sure you call first to make sure they have the right plugs as they are not that common.

You'll also want to stop running premium. And run some Techron fuel cleaner through it.

A small difference in plug number can make them useless to you...

Thanks for the help everyone! a fresh set of plugs and a full battery fresh off the tender and She's up and running! If, for some reason any of you come to Tucson i'll buy the first round.

That plug is no longer manufactured by Champion (discontinued racing series).  It is the listed plug for my 2007 S4RS in both the owners manual and the service manual but it isn't the correct thread size.  In the process of finding this out I bought a pair of Denso Iridium plugs via cross-reference.  Since they didn't fit my bike PM me and I'll send them to you for free.

My frined bought a pair of of plugs from CA-Cycleworks labeled for the 4v 749s testastretta. They are NGKs and fit, but they make the bike run horrible. Hes got some kind of funky looking side gap or spade gap.... he ended up having to special order the mfor $20 a pop.
