S4 Engine shuts off while idling after barely starting -Ideas?

A small difference in plug number can make them useless to you...

That plug is no longer manufactured by Champion (discontinued racing series).  It is the listed plug for my 2007 S4RS in both the owners manual and the service manual but it isn't the correct thread size.  In the process of finding this out I bought a pair of Denso Iridium plugs via cross-reference.  Since they didn't fit my bike PM me and I'll send them to you for free. 8)

My frined bought a pair of of plugs from CA-Cycleworks labeled for the 4v 749s testastretta. They are NGKs and fit, but they make the bike run horrible. Hes got some kind of funky looking side gap or spade gap.... he ended up having to special order the mfor $20 a pop.
