Pics from today's ride, NC215 and the Blue Ridge Parkway.  All pics are from NC215.  I was told I'll lose my Holly-riding privileges (Holly is my wife's bike) if I continue to scrape parts in the corners  [evil]

Lake Logan, privately owned and full of trophy-sized trout.

Reflection right on the side of the road, as in two feet right of the white line and you're going swimming.

Tiny waterfall beside the really big one

Part of the bigger one, you can't see the majority of the water, the sun made shooting this fall difficult.

Another angle of the same fall

Still another

And another

A zoomed shot if the one above

Looking off the opposite of the bridge that goes over the falls

Further up, there is another set of falls right beside the road

Holly at the same falls above

Hope you enjoyed!

We're getting there, C wasn't well today otherwise it was gonna be another riding lesson for her instead of a ride for me :)

I'm itching to take the same ride with Syreena next chance I get, my new tires are itching for some action!  [moto]

So so jealous right now.  Maybe I wont be so jealous in a month when you have snow on the ground.

I used a tripod + long exposure.  All the pics were taken with anywhere from a 1/10th a second to a bit over a full second exposure.  Tripod required.

I had to, most of those exposures were too long to hold, see above.  I have a very well used Nikon D70.  The lenses are my old lenses from my 35mm N65 Nikon so the focal lengths are off a bit.

All the above shots were shot with the 42" retractable tripod.  I used the other one on my Honeymoon for great results without having to get a random stranger to take the pic.  PM me if you need more info on the tripods or technique.  It's really simple to get the water to blur if you have a tripod ~
