I'm Now Not going to buy any of the Cheaper Drive parts, unless there have been a lot of Good reviews on them.
Reservoir covers and Other Bling Parts Fine-- But I'll be very weary of any part that has some type of stress / load on them.
I agree.  I am starting to see more and more Chinese knock-offs on ebay these days.  I would be more concerned with quality of the brake rotors or other parts that take on critical amount of stress and load.  Having a rotor failure under hard braking is the last thing I need.  Blings are just blings.

I've worked as a manufacturing engineer for the past 11 years and have dealt with many over seas shops. Machining is machining, it is what it is. You can see it, measure it, and know exactly what you have. The real concerns are what you cannot see, the quality of the raw materials and coatings can be suspect. Sure it "looks" the same, but is it substandard? It's been a issue in any industry where the integrity of the material is critical to safety. DFARS actually controlls the county of origin of materials for just this reason. Other then that the only other concern I have are what tolerances are they maintaining. To sum it up, I would be fine with bling, knowing I may have cosmetic issues someday, but if it has to work, I'm going with a reputable name. Oh, one last thought, the quickest way to cut cost is to eliminate non-value adding operations, ie inspection, not clean your maintaining your anodize baths, etc...

Keep your money state side! Buy an Italian bike!

In all honestly - that looks exactly like the PP currently on my bike.  I bought it from another forum member.  I'll ask him where he got it from.

Yup - it's the same one.  Quality "looks" good - it's been on my bike for a few weeks and was on the previous owners bike for much longer than that.  Color still looks good and fit and finish is on par w/the more expensive stuff.
