Anyone had this done. Dealer said I should change them after 2 years. Not saying it's wrong just haven't heard it before.

thanks

This place feels nice. Black S4RS, CRG Barend mirrors, vented clutch cover, gold clutch plate, gold pazzo racing levers, full 50m termi system, little carbon extras....oh yeah ...almost forgot....ban corporate coffee!

That's what Ducati recommends.

The consequences of a belt failure are expensive.

Yeah...mine's an 07 with only 4000 miles...don't want to chance it, even with the low miles, so I'm going to do it soon.  I asked all around and got the same answer.  I think you're looking at maybe 400 bucks from what I've heard.

Yep just under $400.  Just had mine done on my '07 at 3800 miles.  Cheap insurance.

A set of belts is around $120 + or-, so just under $400 to change belts is a complete rip off.  [bang]

Cycle-works sells them for $50 - I guess you need two?

When I had my service at 7.5K the tech said the belts were fine.  I plan on changing them at the 15K service but now at 10K miles or so you guys got me thinking.....

All depends on your risk tolerance.

When I bought my M900, it was ten years old and had under 4000 miles on it, belts had never been changed. I rode it the summer of '04 with the originals and changed them out that winter.
