I wondered if those stickers would come off without damaging the carbon fiber.  Any tricks used or did you simply carefully peel?

just simply peel em off, very easy.

what if they are over a year old. any weird sun damage noticable after removal?

Not sun damage per se.  The covered area will have newer look to it (shinier?)  You can always re-clearcoat if it's very noticeable.

i've heard of reclearing, but only on car hoods and stuff. the termis have a rougher surface, not easily sanded.

I've read of at least five people doing just that though I have no FHE.  Others have even simply replaced the CF Tube.
