Anybody repacked their Termi cans?

Can one just 'pack' (and by pack, I mean shove) bits of glass fiber into the pipe until its all nice and full?  (yeah, I'm new to this).

How are those riv-nuts connected to the core?  Got a pic of the inside?

The Architect

It appears to be connected to the inlet ring and the center ring by some sort of plate.  The threadsets secure to that plate.  Those threadserts are connected to the carbon fiber outer shell.  The research I've done has lead me to believe that bergdoerfer is right, they are permanent.

I think I'll let Eric take a look at them next week, just in case. 

So now my plan is to try to repack the back half again and add these.
