Hopefully we can keep this unlocked - though I know it's a potentially divisive subject. But I thought these were interesting - Shirts and other stuff with metallic ink that absorb x-rays. Shirts whos printing shows up quite clearly (in theory) when viewed by one of the scanners in use by the TSA.

I'd wondered about this - guess it works and someone did it first.

The eagle seal on the bra is hilarious!

Wonder if they'll find a way to make wearing this qualify as some form of obstructing an official or something similar?

it's a scanning xray so probably won't be too readable.

especially when the scanner stops on an problem and gives you a megadose of xray in a 2x2mm spot...

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Call it proactive preventative cyber-knife and sell it as a feature.

If there's enough metal in it to show up on an x-ray, is there enough metal in it to set off a metal detector and get you sent to the kinky room?
ErkZ NOT in SLO w/ his '95 m900!
The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!

You'd probably be sent to the kinky room anyway for wearing those as they'd be an "anomaly" that shows up on their scanners and they'd think you're hiding something.

as an aside, I'm driving to the relatives this Christmas.

It's pretty funny. When I first heard about these scanners I told my wife that someone would be doing this. I was expecting body paint, but this is even better.

Doubtful. There's probably more metal in your fillings than in the ink on the shirt. It takes significantly less to bounce back x-rays than it does to set off a metal detector.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I'll be getting my first go on these gizmos in a few weeks when I go to London.. fun fun. Since the shirts are sold out, I can't have any fun like that. Anyone run through one of these scanners yet?
