There is clearly a difference in quality of anodizing. Plus there is "hard" anodizing and then some places even UV coat for more protection. My guess is that some company's such as Rizoma spend a little more for this procedure and this way the customer remains happy.

Who knows. Their matte black is the only one that I can affirmatively say "is substantially slower at fading than competitors".  With emphasis on the black used on their rearsets.


Their gold anodizing in the pressure plate does show some fading from when-new, but is not crazy dramatic so far.
