Why ducati dropped the 750cc ?

The only commercial v4 is the desmosedingdong and I doubt they'll make a special version of that.

the conversation is about Ducati's motors.  plenty of robot-piano-toaster-dildo manufacturers make 600cc class v4s.

I liked the era of 750 bikes, and have a soft spot for the bevel-drive heritage 750 motors, but a Monster or Supersport 750 is a bit anemic.

The 800 is where it's at. Monster 800 or 800SS is a great bike. That extra ~10 HP and a few lb-ft of torque make a difference. The 800 was a great motor. I haven't ridden much of the 796 to make a comparison, though. Maybe it's fantastic as well.
