Hey i just bought some new bar end mirrors from sportsbike shoppers on ebay and can't seem to get them to fit correctly/ tighten enough to actually stay on.  Has anyone else used bar ends from them, or another company that might have some suggestions. Thanks a lot.[img]bar end/img]

Typically these are installed with a a bolt and a rubber barrel that goes in the bar with a nut on the other side of rubber barrel inside the bar. When the bolt is tightend it squeezes the barrel which expands against the insides of the bar. To install these prior to inserting the bolt/barrel/nut tighten the bolt to create the squeeze on the rubber barrel just a little bit before putting it in the hole. Also add a little spit before sliding it in.   drool This helps in most situations similar to this as well.   Shocked Once its in tighten the bolt and you should be able to get it firmed up so it doesnt spin in the hole. If that doesnt work try less or more  drink and  Kiss

When removing it make sure you dont loosen the bolt all the way otherwise the nut can fall into your handlebars which can be a pain to fish out. Not that this has ever happened to me I can just predict these things sometimes.  Wink

are they the right size for your bar?  Mine had an extra sleeve that goes over the insert for larger bar sizes.  It ended up I had to use the extra sleeve.

Yeah, i've tried all of it.  It has an extra outer sleeve, and I even attempted to tighten them without even installing but they still wouldn't get big enough...maybe they did send me the wrong size.  Thanks for the help.

Flip the collar around so that the slits face the mirror. Slide the collar towards the end (opposite the mirror) and tighten the screw so the slits start to flare out. Then installl in the var and tighten all the way. That's how mine are installed anyway and they are rock solid.
