Hi I read the write up on the crankcase breather installation and bought the kit. Reading more about it though and finding small oily traces in the air box am worried if I install the kit I'll have some oil mist spray on my back wheel, especially since my bike doesn't have a mudguard on it. Is there maybe a half cover perhaps for the filter that would keep it from potentially spraying back in the wheel while allowing for this setup?

Mount the filter high up and all should be good.

TPO has a remote mount kit made just for this situation.

You can also buy more hose to make it longer if your's is too short to be able to zip tie/stuff/ or secure to anything.
M620 turned M800 but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

I didn't use a kit, I just pulled the tank off, left the original hose, and stuck a small K&N into the end of it with a hose clamp holding the filter on.

I used a zip tie to secure the rubber hose to a frame cross member, maybe the rear shock mount.

Yes oil mist comes out.

I did exactly as Privateer did but I did not use a K&N. Instead, I used a cheap breather filter from the "performance" section at AutoZone. The filter has a fine metal mesh and does not require filter oil. I have not noticed any mist coming out for the last 20K miles.

I've got basically the same thing that is mentioned above.  K&K looking filter for $5 from Advance Auto clamped right to the original connection.  Works fine and have had no problem with oil coming out.
