Yep, first signs of a bad fuel pump is vapor lock.  As it gets worse, run for a while, run leaner and leaner, eventually stall.  The hose from the vacuum fuel shut off to the pump, if too soft can also collapse.  The vacuum fuel shut off or vacuum hose to it can be faulty too.  Good way to find if it is fuel delivery or electric?  Carry a (I think) 8mm. wrench and a clear container.  When the bike stalls open the float bowl drains.  Not much fuel comes out?  Fuel starvation.

You need to host your photos on Photo Bucket, Flicker or whomever you choose.  Then  put the address to your photo between those guys. just read here:  http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0

OK, here's the latest.

I spoke with my buddy at the Ducati Dealer (Moto Union in Milwaukee) who thought that I should try and remove my fuel pump. I did, and it runs. Now I have to actually try my normal route to see if it will last or if it will still do it.

If the weather holds off, I should be able to try it tonight and see.

Was that the vacuum pump or vacuum tap you bypassed?

It was the fuel pump and it is totally removed now. The weather didn't hold out so I'll have to try it tomorrow.

Fill the tank up. Should get a good half tank with gravity feed.

So, I took it out last night and everything worked. Had a very slight "lurching" every now and then but noting severe. It did not stall or bog down on me once. I'm guessing it's my fuel pump?

I have a new one ordered and should be here Friday. Do you guys think I should even put it back on since it runs without it?

As long as you always keep the tank more than half full.  Put the pump on.

+1.
The pumps good if you want a reasonable tank range. It also helps if you make big demands on your motor or decide to modify it.
