to tell you the truth it didn't cross my mind since the stalling appeared much later... I really don't know how much is the gap because a have to take the alternator cover out to measure.. I just took one sim of and now it works great all over the rev range...

there's a plug in the front of the cases you can remove, but i have a depth tool that goes in through the sensor hole.
