I worked at a pizzeria in NY and I wouldn't touch the nasty things even if a customer wanted them.  I also found that you could grab a couple of slugs from the alley and no one could tell the difference.

LOIS LUNCH is the burger place. it's a free standing building that is the size of a large shed. 
it has like 4 seats... i've always wanted to have a burger there, just to say i did.

directly across the street (crown) is another pizza place and brew pub started up by former employee's of SALLY's...
it's called BAR. they're ambar ale is delicious! they have crazy options for pizza toppings... anything you could think of, and some stuff you wouldn't
i'm not sure if they have anchovies.
