Headphones at work

Does anyone at time listen to delightfully inappropriate music or media otherwise while at work with headphones on?

Some times I'll be talking business with headphones on and I stop and think about the delightfully awkward silence me and my associate would be sharing if they were hearing what I am hearing.

i have the NIN entire collection (or pretty close) at work...that's pretty common most days.  gets me pumped.  i have the most anti office environment...i work for the government.  lot of these people have been here 20 years...you have to be freaking hyper-PC about everything here.

except, of course, religion.  you can wave that make the beast with two backsing flag around all you want; there's nothing wrong with that here.  it's cool to put pics of jesus everywhere on your desk, and other religious articles, but i guarantee you people would flip if i put something on my desk that just said "agnostic".  flip.  anyway, back on track...i like mitch hedberg at work, also.

i wear headphones to drown out the noise that is my co-worker babbling about inane shit.


i am generally listeing to something that would offend the ears of others. one day my VP asked me waht iw as listening to and i told him. (it was slayer at the time) he asked me to play it over the speakers and i said that i would rather not as many people around me are not into heavy metal and i didn't want to offend them. apparently the thought of me not actually wanting to offend people is funny.

I use headphones all day long and yes most of it is not appropriate for work.  I love my yahoo music account.  I can listen to all kinds of stuff from music to comedians.  I'm sure Joe Rogan wouldn't go over well without the headphones.
