The lack of motorcycle insurance is kinda scary  :o

From their site:
Italian insurers will not cover damage to motorcycles caused by the rider. Therefore you are responsible to any damage to the vehicle while it is in your care unless that damage is caused by an identified third party.

Capo

There are a lot of unidetified third party's in Italy  ;D

Yeah, I've been thinking about those too. Also the Edelweiss tours, which I've heard very good things about.

Looked into these tours but went with Edelweiss.  Turned out to be an excellent decision, great guides, new bike, great accomodations reasonable price.  Liked the company so much have already booked another tour with them.

Edelweiss do a great job, but at Ducatitours we offer something a little different, i.e. Ducatis and rides that are second to none, with a level of accommodation and service that makes he whole thing an experience to remember.

If anyone wants specific references/testimonials PM me and I will put you in touch with some past clients.

The insurance situation in Italy is not good. I understand peoples concern and I really wish I could offer a better solution, unfortunately 3 yers of looking and I have not found one.........any suggestions greatfully received!
