i know it says they are for racing, but wouldn't it be illegal for a dealer to sell you race exhausts, install them on you bike, let you drive away, and also tell you that they are legal.

A general rule of thumb on used parts is 50% of new part cost...However that is for parts somone actually wants. Not many people want stock cans...I think you'd be *lucky* to get $200 as someone else suggested. My guess would be more in the $100 range.

I agree, "keep 'em". If you have the room to store them and you don't *really* need a $100 right now.

If you absolutely must sell them, put 'em on Ebay...maybe some sucker will bite and give you more than they are worth? Ya never know, talk them up like they are something special..."First model year of Ducatis new Monster design, own a piece of history..." Kinda crap and ya just might hook a fish.

i sold the cans only w/o the ecu or air filter for $250 on "the other forum". the guy bought them to core them out.

I have been on here.....just lurking however... None the less $250 shipped is a good price for the cans. I had 2 other sets I was looking at and they wanted $400 minimum.  To buy new from Ducati the price is over $800.  I am going to core them and see what makes them tick. In the mean time, I need some exhaust to put on the bike.  I am going to do a carbon wrap on the exhaust as well.
