Some days I wonder when the gov't. will get on board with other countries and have the tiered bike size/age/experience licensing. It's either that or make someone take the MSF course before buying a bike or applying for the bike classification on their drivers license. Until then we can't count on smart, reasonable, safe people always buying bikes... it always falls back to natural selection. Tongue

I like that... maybe same thing with cars?  (SUVs & PU Trucks!!!)  Must know how to merge.  Must know how to signal.  Ah.  Don't get me started.

Yeh, me too. I personally think anyone that wants to drive a car should have to spend at least six months riding a motorcycle first. To me that is the best safe riding/driving program ever!!! When I am Governor that will be the first State law I sign!! You are always a better driver if you ride bikes. Wonder why they never do a statistical study about that??? Gee, I guess because it would make too much damn sense and that would for sure vapor lock the government!! Tongue Don't get me started either!! Angry

everyone has different opinions on new buyers. if the kid wants to kill himself.. screw him!!! just dont blame the rest of us.

now back on subject . i would guess that the posting individual was a perspective buyer who couldn't get the $169 dollars a month payment on a new 1098r. you know like suzuki does!  laughingdp                                     it's no different with cars. i overheard a conversation between a guy and our sales mngr on a $60,000 dollar navigator. guy says "no money down and payments no more than 300 month." sales mngr said " whatever!! cant be done." guy says "well then i will just go buy an escalade." if that is the case then screw him too! maybe you can put him and matador's new found friend in the same rocket ship and blast them both to another planet so they don't waste anymore good oxygen or contaminate the human race with their ignorance.

Text is bad way to convey emphasis.  It just read to me like a 16yr old looking at a cool bike.  No need to laugh at another (potential) rider.

Hey Bryant, I love you like a brother, but must disagree.

The kid said, "Not when do the things I do, I'm into power."

Sometimes derisive laughter is needed to breach the walls of ignorance.

Or, as Aristitole once said, "Some men respond to a rational argument; some need a stick."
