he'll post dimensions soon enough..

don't assume every state license plate is the same size, they vary somewhat.
Called TX today to get the exact dimensions before it waqs cut.  As soon as I get them I will post them!  [thumbsup]

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'm in WV so I'm not sure?

are you making them yourself?  if so, i'll just measure mine and let you know.  they are big here, usually go on the forks but i loathe putting them there.

No I'm not making them.  You can buy them at any TX motorcycle shop.

Not to be a killjoy, and the question has been brought up earlier, but a Virginia state safety inspection sticker will DEFINITELY NOT fit on the plate in the above photographs.
Yep, what he said. Go to any HD shop and get the right thing, also Winchester Motosports had them in SS, they work great on left side behind the peg platform or rearsets, but what do I know. - Gene

P.S. All that said, still a better solution than wrapping the damn sticker around a fork leg!
AMEN to that!!!  [thumbsup]

i don't like putting stickers on the fork, they are a pain to remove.

i'm not sure but i think you might ahve that wrong, it looks like the tx plate is the same size as the VA plate or there abouts.  remember the posting above shows inches and metric on the tape, i think when you said the tx plate looks like" 9 inches" you meant around "9 cm" big difference.

i'm not sure but the exact dimenions of the black portion and the va instpection sticker has to be compared better again.  I think the VA inspection sticker "might" just fit on that black portion possibly.

Geaux

Here are DC's sticker dimensions, which are a bit too wide for that plate.  Is VA's too tall?

If I get pulled over, can I just point to the nub on my left fork where my aluminum plate got sawed off and stolen?  When I later got an inspection in DC, the inspector didn't know about the missing plate but handed to me the paper with extra stickies and said, "Here, if you find a good place for it, then go right ahead."  Will I get into trouble for keeping the sticker on top of the mapcase (w/garage remote and toll tag) that is with me at all times and therefore cannot be stolen from the bike?

LYD

it looks like it might be close? ???  so is there anyone who whats one?   if there is I will order them next week.  If not its all kool!  8)
