He Man

1) He riding a 999R and a dainese 1 piece. he has money.
2) if you were on a budget, i dont think youd skip on a gloves and boots to get a suit.
3) People preach ATGATT, but very few people actually do it.
4) i dont think anyone is calling him a squid, as much as making fun of him for being completely ass backwards.

You cant NOT catch flack for wearing $50 new balance with a $1000 suit.

I ride with helmet t shirt glove all the time in the summer. I just commute around town. You just have to put you priorities and what you consider as risky or not into play.

With that said, this guy is freaking hilarious! it just looks to dam nfunny.

TiAvenger

Its funny.

My first thought was, "I didn't know randall bought another 999"

Here's the list of gear I was wearing during my accident in AUGUST in Phx AZ

Black Z1R Strike
Black Icon Pursuit gloves
Black Icon Superduty jacket
Black Icon Superduty pants
Black Oxtar boots

<---- ATGATT

The "least" I ride with is jacket, helmet, boots, gloves and jeans with armor underneath...

I bet he just works at the place that's selling that bike and that suit and that helmet. [roll]

I wear all the gear when riding aggressively, but in the summer jeans gloves and a helmet for short commutes around town works just fine for me.  If something happens to me then oh well, at least I got hurt doing something I love.  I understand the importance of the gear, which is most important.  When I ride without it, I am taking a calculated risk that I fully understand.
M696 - sold, M1100s - gold Speedy kukri pressure plate, black Speedy halflife cover, Pazzo shorty racing levers, 14 tooth front, CRG ls, Speedy sliders all around, Leo Vince exhaust.

I feel like someone should come in and say "Knowing is half the battle!! GI JOEEEEEE"

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I think that photo would be priceless if he were actually dragging knee instead of incubating those strips.  Here in CO the pic would've been taken with no helmet on either.

I've never got the impression the people on this site are gear snobs, only ATGATT, which is different.  I'll bet half the people on this site wear Shift and A* gear.  But I see no problem with harassing riders about not gearing up.  It's better than ignoring, and teaching new riders that protection doesn't matter.  I for one have an AGV race lid, and AGV curb monkey lid, and an HJC Vader, and I always wear the Vader. (Shouldn't as I've crashed in it once) And ony got Dainese leathers after the insurance covered my shredded JR suit.

And then there's the fact that I've SM'd a scooter around Honolulu in tee, shorts, flops, back-turned cap, and sunglasses.

There's nothing wrong with mocking this guy, and ourselves for squidly behaviour.
Catching a yellow-jacket in your shirt at seventy miles per hour can double your vocabulary.

Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

I'm geared up...  Yamaha branded Gerike pants, Suzuki branded FirstGear coat, Ducati coat, Triumph coat and a Tourmaster suit, Triumph boots and Tourmaster gloves.  Up top it's an Xpeed or a KBC Airbourne.  The KBC isn't "school appropriate" so I have to commute with the Xpeed ~

I saw a guy wearing a chrome soup bowl, tshirt, jeans and sneakers on a GSX-R today. He was doing a wheelie down a 25mph zone a block from a school.

Everything is relative, and that guy makes the original poster look like the Lee Parks of safety.

Wow ! What a lot of replies on this pic ! It really brought up a(nother) good discusion about safetygear.
