As the title states, where can I find the engine number? This is on a 2008 Ducati 695 :) The user manual is a little not clear  [bang]

Thanks !

IIRC it's stamped on the left side engine case below the side cover...

If it's in the same location as the earlier bikes.

It won't tell you much, and doesn't necessarily match the VIN.

To realize the value of nine  months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

Thanks. Will check it out. Does this seem like an engine number? 226.31621A

I know it doesnt tell much, but its needed when doing a transfer. Since I just bought the bike, I need to put it in the DMV papers :)

I don't think so...

that looks like a casting/part number.

I couldn't find mine either at first so I just called the dealer and got it from them.  I gave 'em my vin and they looked it up.

My engine number is right in front of the sidestand mounting bolt, above the waffle-looking part of the lower engine case.  It should be real easy to see on a Monster.
