Author Topic: Where can I find the engine number  (Read 2967 times)

As the title states, where can I find the engine number? This is on a 2008 Ducati 695 Smiley The user manual is a little not clear  bang head

IIRC it's stamped on the left side engine case below the side cover...

If it's in the same location as the earlier bikes.

It won't tell you much, and doesn't necessarily match the VIN.

I know it doesnt tell much, but its needed when doing a transfer. Since I just bought the bike, I need to put it in the DMV papers Smiley

I don't think so...

that looks like a casting/part number.

I couldn't find mine either at first so I just called the dealer and got it from them.  I gave 'em my vin and they looked it up.

My engine number is right in front of the sidestand mounting bolt, above the waffle-looking part of the lower engine case.  It should be real easy to see on a Monster.
