National Cycle makes something I'd kind of like but they're a little pricey.  Plexiglass guards that bolt to the mirror mounts.  Less uper moto looking than most shown here so far.  I've been wanting some guards lately with the cooler weather.

I don't have any better photos with me right now but these are Multistrada handguards.  They bolt right up, look better than any other option, and provide much better wind protection that the dirt bike style guards.  They even survived a crash at the track and saved the controls so we could finish the rest of the day.

I like those a lot.

wonder how'd they would work with clip ons?

I have the Powermadd's from Rox.  Their kit comes with a machined, one set screw, quick mount and dismount system.  Set them up once, and they can be on and off in seconds.  I was skeptical at first, but they really stay in place.  You do need a little space (bout a half inch) on the bars to mount.  They don't look bad and make a really big difference.
