<snip>

I wanted to do some coating today, but i ended up getting a SICK deal. I barter some manpower to help move some items and got a 2 free o2 tanks. All i need is an acetylene tank  and a torch set!
Not to be a buzz kill, but what are the test dates on those cylinders?

Do they actually belong to an industrial/medical gas supplier and were 'liberated' by backing out on a tank lease?

The point here young jedi...nothing is for nothing. ;)

hahaha,

ducpainter, that was actually the first thing i was inquiring about when i asked the person who owned them about it.

Theres no date on them, but they seem to be in perfect condition physically. I know nothing about them except they are relativity new. They belonged to a friends father who just retired (hes a doc) and said he doesnt know what to do with them.

I know a guy in the gas industry, and i think you hav eto get the tanks inspected every 5 years before you can fill them?

He Man

alright.

so I actually burned myself. i took a hanger i left in the oven out...it was 400degrees and my finger hit it so yea. that hurt. but other then that, i only got 2 things PCed because i realize i didnt have any masking tape. :(

Hockey Blades

My new Hypersmooth gun is MUCH better than the eastwood hobby gun. The eastwood just spit crap out, while this one actually conserves a lot of powder and gives a very smooth flow.

tomorrow, im going to do my valve covers, i got them sand blasted, just gotta mask it off and PC them.

I like the blades, I play out here in LA.  I imagine black would look sick.

There is a date stamp somewhere on there. ;)

Depending on your gas consumption ownership of tanks can be the better way to go.

Just keep in mind that they need to be re-certified periodically. If you lease a tank you don't have to worry. If you buy a tank and stay with the same supplier you don't have to worry.
