i was thinking of a Bimota style bike. Sure the engine is outsourced, but is that what makes it American or Italian? Or is it the frame/chassis? Could it be the suspension? I'd hate to own a swedish bike, people would talk.

Why not? The Fischer is claimed to be an American sportbike........with a Hyosung motor.
