That's where it peaked at after doing 85mph mostly on the 5 and 405, i was in 5th or 6th gear at about 7000 to 8000 rpm for almost 2 hours straight.

I might talk to the guy I bought the bike from, see if he had similar experiences with it.

I'll mull over my bike issues with a cigar.  coffee

If it were my bike , 267 would be extremely high.

You have a water cooled bike, not an air cooled bike.

ND-that's not a rediculous temp for yer bike. I also think that you have an electrical gremlin, and the temp is not related.

I think that as well.  I like that term, electrical gremlin.  Thanks, the load test will reveal a lot i think.

has your bike been in water lately? (rain, swimming pools etc)

I had similar gremlins on mine a while back and it turned out to be water in the instrument cluster.....it sort of went away by itself

Also, your battery can show a full charge on the tester and still be dead if it doesn't have enough core cranking amps (or something like that)

No contact with water, I did check the gauges multipin as well.  I'm picking up a load tester today after work, then we'll see if the battery was the culprit.  Thanks

267 is in a reasonable range for an air-cooled monster.

Thank you, I know you've got a 695 yourself.
