Anyone else going?

I'd put you in contact with a girl I went to college with (my best friend used to date her) but she de-friended me on facebook.

Imagine that.

So after a 7 hour drive and 7 hours waiting in line to get in, Bonnaroo was better than ever.  The heat was overbearing (near 100 with humidity every day) but we stayed hydrated and chose other "options" than drinking.

Thanks so much for all of the advise it came in handy.

Best show of the festival was easily Tenacious D.  Probably the best live show I've ever seen.  They had the most energy on stage.  Jay-Z also  completely surprised me, way up there on my lists of best live shows.  Dude just came out and rocked the house for 2 hours.  Also very very impressed with DMB.  I thought they were going to be some Striesands but man was I wrong.  They completely rocked out and damn can all of those guys play their instruments.

Flaming Lips was also awesome and one of the most psycadelic shows I've ever seen.  I thought their songs were better than Dark Side. Thievery Corp and LCD Soundsystem were great too. (I did have some help in enjoying them  [evil])

Steve Martin was a pleasant surprise and had a great band with him. He does play a mean ass banjo and even encored with King Tut.  [thumbsup]

Avett Brothers, Kings, Damien and Nas, Weezer, Rise Against, Zac Brown and Ween were all great too.

The one thing about Bonnaroo is that you have to choose who you see somtimes but I feel like I got the most out of this one.

I would suggest all you music lovers on here to try and go at least once.  It is an amazing experience and you really get detached from the real world for 4 days.  Lots of nice people and awesome atmosphere to do pretty much anything you want.
