Not sun damage per se.  The covered area will have newer look to it (shinier?)  You can always re-clearcoat if it's very noticeable.

i've heard of reclearing, but only on car hoods and stuff. the termis have a rougher surface, not easily sanded.

I've read of at least five people doing just that though I have no FHE.  Others have even simply replaced the CF Tube.
