Exploring Mountain Roads!

Took a ride yesterday, did some exploring/scouting of some roads in the area.

Low clearance!


One of the fun roads I explored:








I apologize for the terrible chop, I don't have good photo editing software


I was hoping this road would lead to the lake


I made it through this, but had to turn around about a mile in after encountering one of these that ran the width of the road and would be swing-arm deep.

Damn that is gorgeous country!!  The roads look like they are built and maintained by people who CARE!!

Damn BlackBerry! I can't view pics!  I'm sure they're good!  Thinking about exploring the mtn roads up by Sedona/Flagstaff this weekend.

I like going down the goat paths until clearance becomes an issue too.

That trestle looks like one I've seen somewhere over by Cold Mountain/Canton area

Yea, I have considered putting more adventure-type tires on Molly just for that reason  :D  Molly doesn't have body work to scoop up mud with, which is a good thing...

This one is a little further west, over in the Balsam area.  It's on the same road as the Balsam Mountain Inn.  There's one similar off of Old Asheville Highway, just outside (east) or Canton.
