They can run very fast and are almost completely blind. Grab a twelve pack and go chase it.  These make the beast with two backsers will run full speed right into a tree trunk or fence post or whatever. Good times.  Whatever you do don't try to kick them, they weigh three times as much as you think.

Exactly. It took about ten semi drunk high school seniors the whole weekend at my buddy's ranch to catch the 10-12 'dillos that we let loose in the library. It was make the beast with two backsing hard work. Being sort of drunk (why would we otherwise think this up?), being in good shape at the time (half the merry pranksters were on the cross country team) and being motivated all helped. You're right about the can't see shit part. That helped in the round up. Like a pack of wolves we'd surround said 'dillo and commence to chasing. Well, it would inevitably run away and head straight toward the other awaiting pack members each armed with a burlap feed sack. Very few were ever run down from behind. It was all good fun.

Better still was the lame brained chasing efforts of the teachers and school staff as the critters ran under the book stacks and furniture. Cracked everyone up!! Funniest part was two of the pranksters offering advice on catching them telling one teacher "yeah, we do this all the time at my parents ranch." And the teacher never catching on he was talking to one of the perps!!!
