Man Brad I would make that ST naked in a heartbeat if I could figure out how to clean up the
headlight and panel.

I'm going to shoot for semi-naked on the ST2 this spring; I like having a little bit of a windscreen. The plan is to take some fiberglass molds off the top half or so of the mid-fairings and make a pair of skirt fairings that attach to the top fairing and come down far enough to cover the coils & coolant tank. Inspired by this bike:

That limits the major items you'd have to remove or relocate to just the battery & emissions cannister, plus a fair amount of cleanup of wiring & hoses. I could just cut the existing mid fairing, but I can make a curved lip at the bottom of a fiberglass one, instead of a straight cut edge. It'd be nice to be able to go back to full-fairing if it doesn't work out, and if it does work,  Ebay-ing the mid & lower fairings could finance a decent sized chunk of the project.

If they come out nice, I'd be happy to make more.

I always liked the look of the Frankenbike. I spoke with Peter about it a bit and
I think I understood the only actual part that was ST was the tank.
I liked the look alot. Just having to tear it all down and redo the wiring harness and
figure out how to relocate the radiator overflow etc scares me.  bang head
