Hi there..

I would like to get an opinion on the Pirelli  Angel St for 696 Monster. I have approx.  9oookm on the original Bridgestones and it is time for some   new tires.  Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you...

I think the Angels come stock on some of the 696's here in the states. Check this thread out....

Should have some helpful advice.

I am simply amazed.  I have a 2009 696 with 3012 miles on it and competent friends, the Ducati mechanic, and the tire shop all said the front is worn out on the sides.  The rear probably has another 1000 miles on it.

I wish I had gotten your kind of mileage out of my Bridgestones.

FWIW - I switched to a Michelin Pilot Power 2ct.  I think the new Michelin 3 is just coming on the market.  Slightly different configuration I hear - more rounded than triangulated.

I currently have Angels on my 900SS.  They stick nicely, I can power wheelie in the rain, you can still drag a knee with plenty of grip left over.  The only issue I've encountered is the 900 likes to spin up the rear wheel if I really get on the throttle exiting a corner.

Thanks for the advice.

Just got  back for a 2 hour ride in  the east end of Toronto....It was cold... about 3-5 degrees C. Tomorrow  I'm heading off early to buy two new pairs of Pirelli Angels for my birthday!!!. I've been told that they are nice and sticky and since I do not do lot of ridding in the rain they should be great on twisty country roads.

Thanks again and happy Easter!!!
