Will it work, not work, work, not work, work as usual?

I haven't even checked the bulb yet, but this is the second time the rear right signals quits in the rain, so I think I have to look for a bad connection.

Or a place (connection, damaged wire, etc) that is allowing water in and causing an electrical fault.  This could include a bulb-blowing fault.

Or, as it turned out, a connector no longer connected.

BTW - the voltmeter showed a steady reading of ~ 2.5 volts in the bulb socket.

Even though I have some paint chipping off my steering stops, I'm quite impressed by the quality of most motorcycle parts - these bulbs have been flapping around like crazy for more than 30K miles and are still working  [thumbsup]

Strange.  Why would it be 2.5v on a 12v system?

Maybe that's the result a voltmeter shows from an on/off/on/off 12 volt current.
.... or I might not have gotten good contact?
