Two loose wires. Where did they attach?

Ok, so I have found two different loose wires on my 2000 900 Supersport.  I have no idea where they come from, and I'll be someone on here will recognize them immediately.

Wire 1:  Located near base of horizontal cylinder on stator side.

Three wires from it, green, white w/ green stripe, and black or very dark blue

Connector:

Wire 2:  Located on clutch side, dangling from wire hoop just below shifter.  Wire traces up to frame and goes into the same bundle as the oil pressure switch.

It's the IZ photographed wire hanging free beneath the motor.

Single red wire w/ blade connector, in a 90º rubber boot with a round opening.

Where did these wires connect?

Oil temp/ oil pressure/ water temp sensor for the red.  The green/white I would say TPS, but I assume bike is running, so prob wouldn't be that...

Ok, thanks!  My oil temp gauge doesn't work, so you're likely spot on with the single wire.  I just have to find where it attaches.

Yes, the bike runs fine once you get it started.  It starts sometimes fine and other I have a hard time with the battery or starter.  I've got a whole new thread on the starting issue.

It is not the temperature sensor, It's still hooked up.  I look through that and can't seem to locate any wire like it.  As far as I know, everything else works.  I do wonder if it is something related to starting or something causing an intermittent starting issue.

Turns out it might be a temp sensor, the one on the horizontal head was hooked up, but I found a nub coming out of the oil pan, built into to the oil screen cap.  Turns out this is called a "Thermistor" and best I can figure, that is where it came from.  That may be the connection that gives the oil temp gauge it's reading too, explaining why the oil gauge quit working.

Could the other one be something related to the kickstand/in gear starter lockout?  This bike doesn't tell you the kick stand is down, and will start in any gear with or without the clutch pulled in.

You're correct about the thermistor. It's in the center of the plug that covers the oil screen, below the oil level sight glass.

Could be, isn't the bike supposed to turn off if it's in gear and the kickstand goes down?  If so, that's it.

The other wire DID turn out to be the one for sending the oil temp signal, I ran around the neighborhood and it started to read as the bike warmed up!
