Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am looking for a red front fender and seat cowl for my '06 620.  I found a red fender in good shape on ebay for an '07 695.  Am I correct in assuming these parts are interchangeable?  Would that also go for the seat cowl and wind screen?  I think they are but wanted to be sure before I buy.

Also, anyone happen to know if the solid red color changed at all between '05 - '07?  I have a red '05 tank for a 620 and was hoping the above mentioned fender would match.

Thanks for the help  Cool

I can't find a part number for a 695 seat cowl, so I don't know. The 620 cowl is 595.1.025.1B[A,B,C,D,G,I,L, depending on color].

The part number for the front fenders is the exact same, so it should work just fine.

99% of parts can go from or to a 695 from a 620. It's only some internal engine bits and electronic gear that wont' match up. Everything else is same same.

I am not sure if this is market specific ... but the early 620s came with a metal tank and 4 piston calipers with 320 rotors. At some point the tank changed to plastic and the smaller brakes were used like the 695.

EDIT: Oh, and the 620 (at least the earlier ones) was 5-speed without the APTC (that may be part of the internal bits SP was talking about)

There was also a 6 speed w/o the APTC as well.

But since we're just talking fenders and bolt ons I figured i wouldn't go into all the phased changes during the 620s run

All good ... it was your "Everything else is same same" comment after mentioning internal and electronic bits that had me worried.

Just wanted to avoid mis-interpretation.

what about exhaust interchangeable? since the low slip-on low mount termi for 620 are discontinued, i was wondering if i could get the low mount set for the 695, keep the termi and air filter, then sell the ecu whiich i know for sure does not work on the 620.

I can't find a part number for a 695 seat cowl, so I don't know. The 620 cowl is 595.1.025.1B[A,B,C,D,G,I,L, depending on color].

The part number for the front fenders is the exact same, so it should work just fine.

I have an '07 695 and can confirm that they didn't come stock with a cowl. However, I found one on e-bay (p/n 595.3.025.1A) that was off a '98 M900.  The red color matched perfectly and it fit perfectly, as well.

I parked next to a 695 a few days ago, exhaust looked identical to me.  I didn't take measurements, but there sure aren't any major differences and I'd be very surprised if 620 and 695 cans weren't interchangeable.

Pretty sure any similar year air cooled will drop into another frame. There might be a bracket to two that's different, but the engine mounts should be same same. One thing to investigate would be the placement for the coils on the single vs dual spark and what goes on with that. Going well back there used to be smaller mounts - where sliders are usually placed but that got changed out in the early 2000s.

As you might figure - a water cooled engine won't go in so easily.
