It happend to me last summer  while ridding  ...no clutch!!!!!!!!!!!!!     I must it was quite frightening!!! A bearing as gotten lose and it seize the clutch

Not uncommon, and occasionally _terminally_ expensive if you let it go and it flogs out the splines. You don't want to be paying typical shop rates to replace a crankshaft.

If you've got the skills/confidence to open the clutch up - go in there and check it asap. Otherwise have a shop do it for you.
