Hey there fellow Duc riders i would love to have some help (use your tool and your expertise) with syncing the throttle body on my S4R.  I feel as if this is the issue since at idle my Duc stalls.  Payment for your time, advice, tool usage, and company will be made for sure.  Beer or Cash just let me know. waytogo

Might want to mention what area you're in or able to travel too.

Have you tried just turning the idle screw up or checking that the mixture screws are backed out to about the same amount? Also check valve clearances. I'd do this before messing with the sync. Anyways, I'm in the same boat as you and was planning to build a homemade sync gauge this weekend (a very high-tech gadget consisting of a plastic tube and some used motor oil). If it works you're welcome to use it. BTW, I've never synced carbs before, just thought you should know.

To ask a question that will show my ignorance re: S4Rs - is that a fuel injected bike (you say "throttle bodies" and not "carbs"). If it is, is there not a method for resettng the TPS auto-magically?

Easy.  Throw money at it.
