Hello folks,

I have a bad seal on my left fork, so I'm taking my Duc in for new fluid and seals.

My questions are:
- Will I regret no additional suspension work (e.g. Catridge)?

- What rider height/weight is the stock Non Adjustable Showa 41s set for? I'm about 5'10" 160lbs.

- Any other thoughts?

I'd consider myself a novice rider in the twisties as I haven't spent much time there. No track days under my belt either.

Bike is a '96 M900

at your weight, i THINK you're just about right for the stock springs...

I'm riding on shimmed non-adjustable Marzoochis on a 1999 M750.  I would say get as much as you can afford done!  Weight/springs are probably OK as corey said.

Thanks Corey and JM!

JM, noob question: when you say do as much as i can afford - what options do I have other than leaping to SBK forks? Just curious because my disposable $$ for suspension work just decreased...I'm fighting an electrical/charging problem (see other thread http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=57858). I'm considering throwing in the DIY towel...

If you have the dough and are going to have the forks apart, I strongly recommend installing a set of RaceTech Gold Valves and the appropriate springs for your weight.
According to their website, someone of your weight needs a 0.812 kg/mm spring. The stock spring is 0.686 kg/mm.
I did mine and it totally transformed the front suspension.
